Major Investments Signal a New Era for American Manufacturing
If you’ve wondered whether reshoring is real or just a talking point, here’s your answer: investors are putting nine figures behind it.
At ReNEW Manufacturing Solutions, we have spent years building our multi-location network because we truly believe American manufacturing is back and ready to expand. More and more customers recognize the value of domestic production and the strength of America’s manufacturing capabilities.
And in our view, two recent funding announcements prove that many others are seeing the same value and opportunity.

Major Investors Turning Their Attention to Manufacturing
In May 2026, custom manufacturer SendCutSend announced a $110 million investment that valued the company at approximately $1.01 billion. This funding round was co-led by Sequoia Capital, Paradigm, and Stripe co-founders Patrick and John Collison.
Those are some famous names, and they’re especially notable because they’re most associated with building or investing in technology companies. Their decision to invest in a manufacturer reflects the interest in businesses that are applying innovation and tech-forward thinking to physical production.
And the scale of the commitment is meaningful; it shows sophisticated investors see domestic manufacturing as a major opportunity for the future, not an industry of the past. SendCutSend has grown quickly, and now they’ve announced plans to invest $1 billion in new U.S. manufacturing jobs and domestically produced materials as part of a five-year plan.
Another Example of Manufacturing’s Momentum
SendCutSend is not an isolated example. In June 2026, Nox Metals announced an $11.5 million seed round led by Hyperion, with participation from Palmer Luckey, Y Combinator, Jared Friedman, RoboStrategy, Operator Collective, DTX, Alumni Ventures, and others. Once again, some of these investors have deep ties to the tech sector, but now see potential in manufacturing.
Nox Metals uses software and automation to supply production-ready material to manufacturers. They plan to expand domestic capacity, including revitalizing a 30,000-square-foot World War II-era factory in Detroit. The symbolism in the move is undeniable.
Some of those investors, again, are most famous as tech investors. But they see the major potential in American manufacturing today.
What Does This Mean for American Manufacturing?
ReNEW Manufacturing Solutions, SendCutSend, and Nox Metals have different business models. SendCutSend provides rapid custom manufacturing, while Nox Metals supplies prepared raw material. ReNEW has spent years building a four-shop, 200-person network that brings together custom machining and fabrication as well as welding and finishing capabilities across multiple U.S. locations to produce smart build-to-print metal parts.
But at their heart, these companies are very similar. We’re all investing in domestic capacity and using modern technology to improve traditional manufacturing. We aim to be the easiest manufacturer to do business with, and both of these companies are focusing on simpler sourcing, as well.
These investments show that experienced investors see that this strategy is working. American manufacturers are finding new ways to compete through technology and responsiveness. We’re creating stronger domestic supply chains, and we’re only getting stronger.
